I Just Wanted To Blog These Photos...

First night i went out in Melbourne... And i was taken to this alleyway to visit a bar called St Jerome's... I randomly took photos because i thought the alleyway was extra cool with the graff... But you know, I'm from Perth... Anything on walls is dope ha ha even piss stains!! Ha ha ha....

Excited To See An Aboriginal... Oh & Merry Christmas!

A few days ago after getting lost in the city of big squared ass Melbourne i stopped in to grab a drink from the 7/11... And as i was waiting to be served two aboriginal people walked into the store... I smiled at them and they smiled back. It actually made me happy or excited to see another brown face... Made me feel at home! Ha! And im not even trying to be funny lol. Thats when i realised i really am a Perth girl. And another hilarious thing is how excited i get when i see brown people in general... A fob guy came into our backpackers and i got excited. I saw an old fob man while i was visiting our real estate, i smiled... & got excited. Funny times! But i should be used to being a minority, its not like there are a tonne of brown people walking around Perth at the same time so im used to this stuff but i guess its different being in a whole new city, after awhile ill get fimiliar with it... & that theres hardly any aboriginals around. I've been here for comming on nearly two weeks and to be honest im really over the CBD! From what ive been told, its not Melbourne during the day in the CBD but because this place is so huge i haven't yet to explore outside. Untill yesterday... I jumped on a train to a job interview in a place called "Camberwell" which wasn't too far on the train about 20mins maybe. I got to the Southern Cross train station which is right behind our Backpackers and felt a little sick in my stomach, i had no idea where to start... Its so friggin' huge! I felt like one of those lost kids in K-Mart for the first time, except i didnt feel like crying... I just tried to make my way back to the confectionary section... So, in good ol' fashion form i did just that... But it was a ticket/information booth. Anyway, this train station kicks Perth's tiny little shit-house train station about a billion times over, however its kind of dark & depressing and just big. I found my platform anyway, got on the train and headed out to the BURBS. It was cool to go along the train line and see the houses, theyre really old here, like town house terraces, victorian style... Lots of character. And the amount of graffiti along the walls... Would give Sydney a run for its money, theres heaps. When i got off at my spot i found my way to the main road and headed off to the office where my job interview was and after bobbin' along... I noticed that here, at every suburb there is one main road and its filled with shops. The typical stuff but, you dont find that back in Perth... Maybe an IGA, fish & chip shop, pharmacy and kebab store... But these places are lined with retail shops, commericial and upmarket, bars & cafes, discount stores, opshops, everything! Even Aldi! Haha. So anyway, i had fun on my Surburban adventure. Not long after though i had to head back into the city. I guess once we settle into our CUTE house and get comfortable with getting around i'll be able to see more of this place... Our new house is in a surburb called "Brunswick"... about 15mins from the city via tram and heading north (i think) toward "Coburg" the place is really cool!! We are right behind the main road, close to the tram... & close to all the two dollar asian shops, bakerys, african hairstores, opshops, bars & restaurants, spotlight, banks, greek dvd stores, & about 5 bridal stores to choose from or more... Totally ethnic! Haha. Its awesome... Cant wait to move there. But all i can really report on is that... There are lots of Indians, Asians & Wogs here... Indie boys & girls are everywhere, you know the nut hugging jean wearing dudes with heaps of tatts...At our Backpackers its filled with Germans! And theyre pretty nice... Cool, chilled out people... & the guys love extreeme sports or sports in general but out of the ordinary stuff like "inline speed skating" and are pretty hairless... Sorry bout it! LOL only made the observation because of the guy opposite my bunk is always walking around half naked again SORRY BOUT IT lol and um yeah, no hair from eye view haha. Most German girls are really nice and gorgeous. People are pretty friendly down here, and that the weather is WEIRDLY COLD! Im not used to this COLD on/off rain during the month of December... Im sure Summer is killing it back home in Perth from what i heard, but right now in Melbourne it feels like its 17degrees! Crazy! And that there is heaps of shopping here, along with the markets too... They have night markets as well, ive yet to check that out. AND NO, I HAVEN'T BEEN GETTING ON THE PISS (in a fun way lol) and seen the nightlife or clubs or gigs or nothing... Because one, poor people dont do that crap, two i was sick and the weathers been shit, and three... I could really careless about all that bullshit as im just trying to settle in, this is not a holiday hence the non-holiday excitement of potential mischief... That will have to wait for later. But anyways, everythings good with me here in the big smoke im like a day out of getting a job! Yay and things are looking up even though something stupid happens one after the other, just got to stay positive! Well... Merry Christmas everyone! Havent really had the time to take in that fact that Christmas is next-week or even attempt to think of what were going to do... It really doesnt feel like Christmas anyway, i guess thats apart of getting old too but i will have fun eating my tuna, in my empty house drinking a 6dollar bottle of wine dreaming of Mum's roast and Pineapple Pie! Melbourne People Think I Have "Warmth" About Me...

OK, well maybe they were drunk bitches off the street that asked me for a lighter when i was having a cigarette outside my hotel... At 3am in the morning... But you know, what can i say? I'm a nice person! Ha ha... But yeah, I'm loving the random moments this city has provided in the last 24hours... I had deep and meaningful's with those drunk bitches i just spoke about up there... Which was nice! And then i saw a bitch walk past us with no clothes on but her knickers... Shit like that... But other than the random goodness... Ah, Melbourne's wonderful, sunny, lovely and I'm really enjoying my first proper day in the city. But i must say, the best part of this whole little adventure was seeing my dopest of dopest bitch... Miss Kate Jean! All up in Myers, holding it down... Ha, love it. Hustle hustle! But yes, so good to see my girl... Even though its been like forever... 10 months... Since we seen each other last it just felt like yesterday we did so it was all back to black when we caught up. And after a mission of getting back to the city to join me at my hotel last night, we made it out... and walked up to a bar called "Red Violin" which was totally dodgy urban bar place with rude ethnic people and Greek/Italian guys who thought they were Chris Brown reincarnated... on the dance floor. Ah what fun!!! After refilling our wine glasses with the goon bottle from Kate's bag we decided we needed to move on... And i walked through Melbourne city with no shoes on to get to this other bar on time, because i cannot power walk in heels/wedges... I'm too ghetto for that shit. Anyways, we get to bar and its closed... but all is good... We managed to get to Chapel St... Stayed for about 5minutes, we found the Kanye/Nas after party spot... But it looked shit from outside so we bounced... Ended up back at my Hotel room and catching them Zs! Anyways, might i add... There are plenty of fine ass men up in this city! "TELL ME BOUT IT!" Ha ha... LOVING it. Well, cant wait to see more of this place in the weeks to come... This place is coolies!!

PUT THE "W" UP... chyeah!!!

Well, i just wanted to say that... I feel anxious as fuck! I still feel like Ive got a 100 things to do and my heads a bit of a crazed mess at the moment... Along with being overwhelmed by my emotions! As its just hit me in the last few days that... Perth has pretty much been my home ever since i was 10, when we moved here from New Zealand. I had my short stint in Sydney but other than that Ive pretty much been based here... And my family are here, friends and comforts... So its all a bit SAD and DEPRESSING... Plus I'm not good with saying goodbyes, i kind of just up and go but Ive been spending a lot of time with my people so i think its made it a little bit harder and easier at the same time. But, all is well.

I just wanna say THANKS to my MUM & DAD... For putting up with my stank ass for the last few years, especially in the last months, allowing me to loiter around their house, eat their food, not pay rent, and moan & carry on... I love you guys for everything... Even if we do act like crackheads with one another! We are a crazy family! Ha ha... But its all love. I'd be lost without you guys, i hope i can grow up this time around... I know ill always bum off you guys one way or the other but yeah, ill try not to as much ok ha ha.

Much love to my purple rain wearing brother Pom and my sister in law Litahina... Cant wait to get back to see the TWINS I'm so excited to be an auntie and for the both of you, thanks for all the hard talks bro... The straight up the nut ones... The Continous Cycle of Bullshit & Money...

Life was a hell of lot easier when i was making less and having more fun! It makes me laugh when i think about how i moved to Sydney when i was 18 with 50bucks in my wallet... And somehow managed to survive, thanks to fams (that did eventually kick me out lol) and friends who i found out were fams that took me in... and showed me what the centre link hustle was all about. Now I'm 24, i make a decent income, have a pretty easy sweet as job... and you know its cool but man, Ive been having the biggest stresses with money going missing, money getting stolen, and not keeping up with my finances coming in and going out making life all too hard. Then I'm faced with the situation of my moving to Melbourne proving to be difficult on the finding a house front! My poor lovely has been left to face the monster full on... And applying for a shit-house rental in Melbourne is like applying for a home loan to buy a fucking house... Since when did Real Estate peeps need to see bank statements? And i gots to send off all this other shit I'm like FOR REAL... Some bullshit yo! Anyways, yes yes... Your girl is going through a little strife here and there... Amongst all of that I'm trying to spend time with my peoples, friends and organising all of that.... Every things such a mad rush! Argh!

At one point i thought FUCK IT... It would be easy just to stay here for another year, bum off my parents and live with them, work my easy shit job, get paid and all that jazz... BUT i know if i don't leave ill never leave and ill be stuck here wasting another year of my life in isolation central... I need out! So, in saying all that and reading back at my ranting ass... I SHOULD JUST SUCK IT IN... So I'm gonna suck it in, suck it up, and besides all that shit i should be fine... ITS JUST MY MONEY THAT I'M PISSED OFF ABOUT! Whats up with withdrawing $140 and then the bank taking an extra $140 out of my account saying it was withdrawn from another ATM machine at the same time? Yeah because that's possible right! ... Anyways, that's being investigated... And another thing... My job not paying me because of THEIR FUCK UP NOT MINE! Now i gotta wait till next-week for my pay?! Honestly... Heaven & Hell... Sounds Pretty Good To Me!

To the people that aren't in the loop with who this man might be... Devolo is a Tongan born NZ MC from NZ's most prolific Hip-Hop group, The Deceptikonz (Savage, Mareko, Alphrisk)... Who to the peoples delight has stepped out to debut his first solo album release entitled "HEAVEN & HELL" which dropped on November the 3rd so yes, its available now. Now before Devolo's album dropped there was a couple of singles that came out... "Heaven & Hell" featuring Mareko was nice but there was the one which i didn't think the world of called "Somebody"... Which came off lack of taste for me but the followup single "Too Shy" made up for that! The beat and the catchy hook... Perfect. Big ups to the brothers doing something different which i can appreciate even if i didnt exactly love that one track lol and I don't think a lot of NZ rappers could carry it off quite the same anyway! He he but great job on the music. I'd also like it if the track "Take It Back" is the next song to come out... He he, loving the VIBES!

And were also lucky to listen to the whole album on MySpace... Which made me look forward to copping this. A great variety of tracks here... And a big congrats to Devolo for getting out on the solo and doing the album the people have been waiting a long time for this one. All the best! And yes, go check out the tunes kids...
